About this building

Built in 1883 as the headquarters of the Union Steam Ship Company, Architect David Ross designed a striking Italian-style building with an observatory dome so the company managers could watch ships come up the harbour. It was later home to the National Mortgage and Agency Company who modernised it by removing its detailed façade.

Fittingly, it was one of the first of the warehouse precinct buildings to be revitalised. It is now home to Winefreedom, Psychology Associates and others.
